Our Mission
The mission of The Cody Cupboard is to reduce hunger in the Cody area by providing food assistance to those in need and by engaging in outreach and advocacy.
Who We Serve
The Cody Cupboard proudly serves individuals and families in Cody, Clark, and Meeteetse who need food assistance.

Our History
Before The Cody Cupboard was established, several local churches operated independent food pantries to serve members of the community in need. Recognizing the benefits of working together, and with support from the Cody Council of Community Services, The Cody Cupboard was incorporated in June 1987. Its first home was in the basement of the Park County Courthouse.
As the organization grew, so did the need for additional space. In 2001, The Cody Cupboard moved to a building behind the Cody Chamber of Commerce.
In January 2017, The Cody Cupboard relocated to its current home at 602 15th Street, where a City of Cody-owned Quonset hut was thoughtfully renovated into a welcoming and functional food pantry. Today, we continue to serve our neighbors with the same commitment that inspired our founding nearly four decades ago.
Powered by Volunteers
Since our founding in 1987, The Cody Cupboard has been operated entirely by volunteers. Their dedication makes it possible for us to fulfill our mission every day.
Our volunteers welcome clients, distribute food, stock shelves, package fresh produce, clean and maintain our facility, answer phones, and perform countless other tasks that keep the pantry running smoothly.
The generosity of our volunteers, donors, and community partners is the foundation of everything we do. Their support allows us to continue providing food and hope to our neighbors in need.
If you’re interested in sharing your time and talents, we’d love to welcome you to our volunteer team. Click here to learn more about volunteer opportunities.
Together, we are building a stronger, healthier and more compassionate community—one neighbor at a time.
